The cup was open to all Thai football clubs, both amateur and professional. It was considered one of the most prestigious domestic cup competitions in Thailand. The final was usually held at the Suphachalasai Stadium in Bangkok, and the winning team would receive a trophy and a cash prize. The most successful team in the competition was Bangkok Bank, with 7 titles won. However, in 2012, Pizza Hut Cup was merged with the Thai FA Cup.
